"Punky Reggae Party", c'est d'abord un titre de Bob Marley issu de l'album "Exodus" sorti en 1977. C'est aussi le nom de la tournée qui a réuni en 2001 le groupe punk-rock hollandais NRA, le collectif dub lyonnais High Tone et les Orléanais Burning Heads, instigateurs du projet et ardents défenseurs du crossover entre punk-rock vénère et reggae-dub vieille école. La réécoute de leur album "Opposite" sorti cette même année, motivée par la lecture de leur biographie "Hey You" (Metro Beach) a débouché sur cette playlist entre punk & dub.
