Alors qu’il vient de fêter ses 52 ans, il était temps de revenir sur la carrière de Walter Schreifels. Souvent loin des radars médiatiques, le musicien américain a laissé une empreinte forte sur la musique indépendante. De ses débuts dans la scène hardcore new-yorkaise au sein surtout des deux groupes cultes Youth of Today et Gorilla Biscuits à ses fulgurances indie-pop en solo, en passant par le grand nom du post-hardcore qu’est Quicksand et l’indie-rock catchy de Rival Schools, sans oublier ses autres projets plus confidentiels et son boulot de producteur (CIV, Hot Water Music…), on vous invite à (re)découvrir la musique de Walter Schreifels en 20 titres.
Il y en a finalement 21 car Quicksand sort un nouvel album en avril 2021 ! 🙂
